Nifty Royale is thrilled to announce that we are now live on Polygon mainnet with Chainlink Keepers and Chainlink VRF, enabling random and autonomous NFT battle royale games using the market-leading decentralized oracle provider. This launch parallels our existing Ethereum-based platform, now also available on Polygon’s high-speed, low transaction fee environment. By using Chainlink, porting our platform to another blockchain environment was straightforward, enabling us to provide users with more options to play Nifty Royale games with the same level of security for automation and randomization.

The Nifty Royale platform facilitates primary market sales of original NFT artwork (referred to as “Drops”), as well as peer-to-peer trading of these NFTs on secondary markets. After the completion of curated drops, NFTs acquired by collectors are automatically entered into a battle royale game where individual NFTs are randomly eliminated round by round until only one is left. The winning NFT is upgraded or awarded a one-of-one NFT with unique attributes such as animations, while all other participants retain ownership of their NFTs without any loss.

GM Iceland by Ryan Newburn

To experience the platform please join us for our next drop GM Iceland on December 22 at 12pm PST. This drop features Ryan Newborn, our first photographer on the platform! The winner of this battle royale will not only receive an additional 1/1 NFT but will also win a 4-day private tour of Iceland with Ryan!

We selected Chainlink as our go-to oracle solution because it is widely used and time-tested, already securing tens of billions of dollars in value for top blockchain projects in the ecosystem. Our NFT battle royales use Chainlink Keepers to reliably automate the elimination process by triggering the start of each new round after a predetermined time interval has passed. Additionally, we leverage Chainlink VRF as the source of randomness to help fairly and transparently eliminate NFTs in each round. These crucial features help ensure that the battle royales run in a decentralized and automated manner end-to-end and are provably fair to all participants. For more information on why we chose Chainlink, view our previous Chainlink Keepers and Chainlink VRF announcements.

By integrating Chainlink Keepers and VRF, our team was able to streamline the reliability, transparency, and decentralization of core functions within NFT-based battle royales. Ultimately, this empowered us to quickly launch with low-cost transactions on Polygon mainnet and bring a whole new NFT experience to artists and collectors from around the world.

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming, and other major industries, and offers global enterprises and leading data providers a universal gateway to all blockchains.
